An international industry award recognizing “outstanding” technology in mid-volume production markets has been handed over during Konica Minolta’s European Leadership Campus, where senior executives hosted more than 1,000 retail partners from 53 countries. Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe was presented with the award by Keypoint Intelligence and Buyers Lab International (BLI), at the event in Berlin, Germany, for dealers and distributors from Europe, and Central and Middle East Asia.

BLI and Keypoint Intelligence are the global document imaging industry’s insight and resource organizations for unbiased and reliable information, test data and competitive selling tools. Konica Minolta’s AccurioPress C6100 was awarded BLI’s 2018 PRO Award as Outstanding Color Mid-Volume Production Device with Fiery IC-315EFI Controller.

The product was deemed to supply excellent, consistent image quality, superior productivity, media handling flexibility and outstanding job management capabilities. The digital production machine delivers on all fronts for users looking to maximize uptime.

In its report, BLI highlighted the new automated capabilities that come courtesy of the Integrated Color Care Unit (ICCU), which is located directly after the engine assembly in the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C6100. It includes a front and page sheet scanner and color spectrophotometer. The ICCU can conduct automatic adjustments in real time during print runs rather than as a manual intervention process in features such as gradation, maximum density adjustments, front-to-back registration, media profiling and greyscale balance adjustment.

“Superior productivity and media handling and high-quality and consistent output distinguish the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C6100 from the pack in the ever-competitive and growing mid-volume production color space,” says David Sweetnam, Buyers Lab’s director of research and lab services for EMEA/Asia. “Over the course of its testing, the device proved it can capably and quickly handle almost any media size and type thrown at it up to 400 gsm.”
